Testimonials & Feedback

What a fantastic and informative training session.

Claire talks openly and honestly around her own experiences which humanises the training and really helps provide you with an understanding, and it really helped us all gain a clearer acceptance around a topic we were so naive about.
— Keeley Nash, Director, Quality Foster Care
Claire’s Transgender Talks offers clear, concise, insightful information on a subject all of society needs to improve their knowledge and understanding on.

My Young Carer Project staff found the increase in their knowledge very useful in helping them to support and signpost young carers who are dealing with barriers they face in becoming their true selves.

Highly recommend to anybody!
— Sharon Cumberbatch, Deputy Director & Family Services Manager, Carers of Barking and Dagenham

“The session with Claire was very enlightening, open and honest. The training has given the team a better insight and understanding of transgender people and the discrimination and difficulties faced by them.

Claire provided in depth explanations and exercises to highlight the problems faced by transgender individuals in society and specifically the differences in the types of abuse they face in intimate and familial relationships. Its delivery was well thought through in its approach and done within an informal setting where we felt comfortable to ask questions.

This training will help us to share knowledge to others across our partnership and enable us to use the correct language when safeguarding transgender victims. It has also allowed us to have better insight into the different levels of trauma being experienced by transgender victims of DA and ensure that we adopt a trauma informed approach. We will take this learning and use it to develop our connections with the LGBTQ+ community and ensure that our services are inclusive and promoted.”
